History

History of Victory Bible Church International, Ghana

Founding and Early Years
Victory Bible Church International (VBCI) was founded by Bishop N. A. Tackie-Yarboi in Accra, Ghana. The church began in 1985 with a mission to reach the lost, the hurting, the poor, and the broken-hearted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bishop Tackie-Yarboi, with a strong conviction and passion for evangelism and discipleship, started the church in a small classroom with just a handful of members.

Growth and Expansion
The church’s message of faith, victory, and empowerment resonated with many, leading to rapid growth. Within a few years, the church moved from the classroom to a larger facility to accommodate the increasing number of congregants. The vision of VBCI, “Raising the Foundations of Many Generations,” guided its expansion strategy. The church emphasized sound biblical teaching, vibrant worship, and community outreach.

National and International Presence
As the church continued to grow, it established multiple branches across Ghana. Each branch operated under the same vision and mission, creating a cohesive and unified church body. The church’s influence extended beyond Ghana’s borders, leading to the establishment of branches in other countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and several African nations.

Leadership and Vision
Bishop N. A. Tackie-Yarboi, as the founder and presiding bishop, provided visionary leadership that inspired the church’s growth and development. Under his guidance, VBCI developed various ministries and programs to meet the spiritual, social, and economic needs of its members and the broader community.

The church’s leadership structure included a team of dedicated pastors, elders, and ministry leaders who worked together to implement the church’s vision. Regular training and development programs ensured that leaders were equipped to serve effectively.
