Bishop Clement Asihene was born on the 5th of July, 1959, at the Okomfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi (popularly called “Gee” in those days) Ghana, to Mr. Edmund Kwasi Badu Asihene (of blessed memory) and Madam Ernestina Addo. He attended University Primary School in Kumasi, after spending two years of his childhood life in Cape Coast where his dad was transferred. He moved to Accra at the age of 6 to continue his primary education at the University Primary School in Legon after his mum was transferred to the University Hospital at Legon, Accra.
He moved again to the Ring Road East Experimental School, where he sat for the Common Entrance Examination for admission into Swedru Senior Secondary School in 1972. After school, he worked for a few years before gaining admission to the Presbyterian Teachers Training College in 1980, after which he qualified to become a Professional Teacher in 1983. After teaching for a year, he responded to the call of God on his life to be a Minister of God in August 1984.
Back in 1981, at a student fellowship in City Business College (CIBUSCO), His path crossed with Bishop N. A. Tackie Yarboi, then Brother Tackie, which resulted in the commencement of the Jesus People Fellowship.
The fellowship continued in its steady growth to be called Jesus People Outreach.
He was very instrumental in building the structures of VBCI in the areas of Counselling, Victory Bible Training Institute, and Evangelism in several secondary Schools and Training Colleges.
In January 1991, the Presbytery of the church mandated him to start a church in the United Kingdom (UK). After several Home Cell meetings, the church took off on the 14th a April, 1991, with 45 people in attendance.
After much growth in the church, he was called back to Ghana and later sent back to the UK in August 1993. He has since been in the UK and, by his apostolic grace, has multiplied the church. His passion for the work of God has led him to also plant churches in Holland, Belgium, UAE, and Germany.
He is presently the Sector Overseer for Europe and Asia.
On 21st July 1984, he got married to Lady Rev. Cecilia Asihene and are blessed with 4 children; Odomfonoba (Kobby), Nana Akua Leat, Barfour, and Nhyira.
He resides in the UK with his family and worships with the Oasis Sanctuary of VBCI, where he serves as the Resident Pastor.
Through his able leadership, 22 branches have been planted in the UK.
